Samantha is one of the main characters in the fictional series Now, That Is What I Call Babysitting!. She lived in New York before she moved into 41B. She was in Madison's (from the original series) circle of friends, which is why Samantha called her for advice when she felt homesick in Home Sick to My Stomach. Samantha made waves for the Clearstime television network as she is one of the first main characters in a TV series to identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community (she is aromantic).
She is portrayed by Paris Berelc.
Coming out[]
In Daisy's Got Game, Daisy has got the impression that Samantha is in love with Max, so she challenges her to a one-on-one basketball match. Despite telling her a million times that she doesn't see Max that way, she reluctantly agrees to play the game.
While practising free throws, Samantha is distracted and can't seem to land a basket. She asks herself why she doesn't like Max and tries to talk herself into believing that Max is a "hot" guy. Frustrated, Samantha slams the ball hard against the wall and tries to pace herself my placing her hands on her head.
During the game, Samantha calls a time-out halfway through and wants to take a break. She runs outside and Max follows her out. Max finds her sitting on a bench behind the school with her head in her hands. Samantha isn't sure what is wrong with herself, and after talking for a while, she finally comes out as aromantic to Max, explaining that she isn't attracted to neither guys or girls.
Later on she comes out to Boone, and he's noticeably heartbroken about it (because he had a big crush on her).
